MSN arrow symbol

Some of the most important and useful symbols in MSN are hidden inside different fonts in Windows. Many people need to use different symbols and characters to point things out to others, but often they can not find the right ways of doing it.

This means there is a huge gap in the market for arrow symbols – special characters which have arrows inside them that can show up in your MSN status or in your chats. There are a number of different types of arrow symbol that you can use in your MSN chats, including double ended vertical arrows and horizontal errors. Here are all of those arrow symbols:

MSN arrow symbol

Vertical double ended arrow symbol

This arrow usually talks about the height of an object or shape, and can be used in your MSN to measure anything you want!

Vertical arrow pointing up symbol

If everything is looking up, why not use the vertical arrow to point upwards?

Vertical pointing down symbol

If your stocks are moving in the wrong direction, you probably want to show your happiness levels droppin using this symbol. It’s a universal symbol of gloom.

Horizontal right pointing symbol

If you want to highlight something or point something out, you can use this arrow in your MSN status to make sure everyone knows about it!

Horizontal left pointing symbol

Looking backwards (or at least to the left) means a left pointing symbol is the one for you!

Horizontal double ended arrow symbol

Again, usually used to measure the width of an object (or maybe the width of a person). This double ended arrow is very useful!

These pointers are also used to point something out, but they don’t have a stick attached to them. Anyway, this can point to something on the left.

This can also highlight your name in your status or also in your chats – the right pointing arrows symbol!

MSN skull symbol

The skull symbol is one of the coolest emoticons or smileys that you can use in your online chats. This icon symbolises so many different things – for people who use chat and for people who use MSN symbols in other applications – but why is this emoticon so popular?

As you must know, pirates are currently terrorizing the high seas and modern day seafarers are frightened by the increasing number of hijackings and thefts from people with boats. This is a common occurence in the lawless seas around the East coast of Africa, and many people have started using the pirate symbol in their msn name to show that they actually have sympathy with this cause!

The skull and crossbones symbol first appeared around five years ago, but has grown in popularity recently due to a number of organizations using it as something cool. The most famous of these organizations is the Pirate Bay, a Swedish group who are responsible for one of the largest file-sharing websites in history. They used the pirate symbol to show that they were not governed by traditional laws, and that they would go against authority on all levels.

Anyway, it’s fun to write the skull symbol in your MSN status or to surround your name with it, to make people believe that you are in fact a sailor (or your name has been stolen perhaps?!). Here is how to write it:

The MSN skull symbol is a special character that can only be seen on certain browsers, however most modern itnernet browsers such as Firefox or Internet Explorer will render it correctly. Enjoy the MSN skull symbol – if you know of any other cool ones please leave it in the comments!
